Impression Technologies Ltd. (ITL) was formed in July 2012, funded with venture capital and endowed with IP and patents to commercially exploit the HFQ technology. The main investors in ITL are Imperial Innovations LLP and Mercia Fund Management. The aluminium forming technology was invented by Professor Lin of Imperial College and Professor Dean of the University of Birmingham. The company already has two licensees for the HFQ technology in the UK. Its CEO has extensive industrial experience with major Tier I suppliers, including five years living and working in China. The Chief Technical Officer of the company is one of the co-inventors of the HFQ technology. The company has close relations with ICL, from which solutions to particular production problems may be obtained. ITL is currently a part of the consortium running the TSB supported UlCaB project. It is also one of 16 partners in the European Union FP7 project, LoCoLite.
